  • What to expect on your first visit

When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly by our wonderful staff where they will confirm the reason for your visit and get you checked in for your appointment. You will then have a chance to sit and relax in our lobby where coffee is available at all times (water is also available upon request).

The technician will call you in to an exam room as soon as one is available and ask you a few more questions, take your pets weight, temperature and get everything ready for the Dr.

Dr. Elmer will then enter the exam room and conduct a complete physical examination of your pet. He may have further questions and depending on the reason for the visit, he will collect any samples needed, administer vaccines, and may recommend diagnostic tests if needed. Many of the diagnostics can be ran in-house so we can provide you with results within a matter of several minutes. The doctor will then discuss the recommended treatment plan for your pet.

We feel that client education is extremely important, and we want to make sure you’re completely comfortable with the information we’re providing. This is the perfect time to ask any questions or make us aware of any concerns.

After the veterinarian has answered any remaining questions or concerns you may have, he will escort you to the front counter where you will speak to the receptionist. They will make sure any medications or other products are in order for you, and schedule any follow-up appointments if needed.

Please note: It is our goal to see all of our scheduled appointments on time. Please know that there may be times where the unexpected will create delays. Emergencies will take priority over appointments or walk-ins. We will ensure the delays are minimized as much as possible.

We thank you for your understanding and patience!
